I didn't have a full list of 10 for my games of the year, mainly because a lot of my gaming time has been spent catching up on games from years past (or grinding in Fortnite). I have played some from this year and I wanted to share them, because I feel like they are great games, some of which may have gone unnoticed for one reason or another.

The Top 5 Marvelous Games of 2017
Most people see games as mindless entertainment, something to relax your brain after a stressful day of work. However it's been proven that games can tell thought provoking stories and every now and then a game will come along and tell one of those stories. Nier: Automata shook me to my very core, I haven't thought about game's story this much since Metal Gear Solid 3. Nier explores the notions of identity, questions our reality and turns our very expectations upside down and out the window. This isn't a game you only play once, this is a game that you need to play multiple times to understand the scope of the story. Yes the combat is pretty simplistic but it is serviceable and for a game like this that's all I really need. Nier: Automata will make you think, Nier Automata will make you weep. That is why Nier Automata is my Game of The Year for 2017.

Swery Makes a New Game Called The Good Life
Set in a fictional English town called Rainy Woods. The residents of the town turn into cats at night. This game will be an RPG featuring Naomi a New York photographer with a massive debt trying to uncover the town’s secret while she also transforms into a cat at night. Swery says “It's a mystery game based on the framework of a 'daily life RPG.” The Good Life will be coming from White Owls a new studio formed by Swery. This game will be available for crowdfunding on Fig September 2nd.
Deep Silver to Publish Shenmue 3
Deep Silver will handle the process of distribution of both physical and digital copies of the game world wide.
Destiny Silver Appeared For Purchase On Steam Marketplace
Any purchases made have been refunded. Supposedly this was silver for the first Destiny game.
PUBG Drops Weekly Monthly Update For More Stable Updates
They hope to have longer QA test periods without the monthly and weekly update schedule.
We Happy Few Gets Release Date
We Happy Few will be releasing on April 13th 2017 for Xbox One, PC, and Playstation 4. Gearbox will be helping with the publishing side for this game.
Crackdown 3 is delayed to Spring 2018. It was supposed to launch alongside the Xbox One X to help sell the hardware. They brought in David Jones one of the creators of the original Crackdown on the Xbox 360.

Atari is claiming that Nestle used Breakout’s screen and replaced it with KitKat bars. Atari is seeking for 3 times the amount that Nestle made with the ad campaign. Nestle replied that they will be defending the charges.
