The whole crew is out except for Thomas and Lo so they were free to take over the podcast and talk about SEGA for most of the gamescast. Thomas runs into some problems with Amazon Same-Day Delivery and started playing Horizon Zero Dawn.
Below are the show notes!
Lo and Thomas take a quick shot at Horizon Zero Dawn. We see what society has in store for its post-apocalyptic future. Turns out there are robot dinosaurs, sabertooth, and gazelles.
This time Justin goes Han style (Solo) to take a look at Troll and I, a co-op action adventure from Maximum Games. Available for PC, PS4 Xbox One and soon on the Nintendo Switch.
Justin and Thomas get together to take a shot in progress of Funk Unplugged. The build we played through was sent by the developer and was created in February 2017. This game was successfully kickstarted and placed on Steam Greenlight and is slated to release late this year. Funk Unplugged is a 3D action platformer created by Vamped Games. In Funk Unplugged you play as a small amp that is traveling through worlds collecting lightning bolts and records. In this video, we go through two worlds including the new ice world.
We had a lot of fun discussing Zelda Breath of the Wild and how it may possibly be the best Zelda game made, but just not without its own faults. Justin got his hands on the Switch and gives his full impressions on the console.

Justin got the pleasure to sit down with Andre from Vamped Games to discuss their latest release Funk Unplugged. In this interview, Andre shares with us how far Funk Unplugged has come and his thoughts on the current state of Steam Direct, as well as Nintendo’s Nindies. As Andre parts with us at the end of the interview he gives some advice to new developers as well.
I love Zelda, let’s just be clear about that up front. There are posters on my walls, amiibo and other figures on every shelf, and even my favorite blanket has the Triforce on it. The series has a soft spot in my heart, so the fact that I asked to review this game should have been a dead giveaway that I just wanted to stroke its Master Sword for a few thousand words, but that’s not entirely the case.
I wanted this review to be an exercise in objective critique. Despite the vast amount of perfect 10 review scores out there, the game is not perfect. It’s beautiful, plays very smoothly, and redefines the open world game model in a lot of amazing ways, but it also has a lot of aspects that feel either dated or just not well thought out. But let’s start with a rundown, for the two of you who don’t know yet what this game is.
We have a very special guest with us today he goes by Ghero on Twitch and Twitter. In this episode we talk about physical and mental health issues for gamers and creatives in the gaming industry. From there we talk about the games we’ve been playing and I spoil the end of Mafia 3 (That ending is pretty damn great though). We talk more Switch news mainly that the carts taste terrible and the games being released this year. We talk about newly announced games and rumours of Shenmue HD Remaster. Then finally we discuss the pros and cons of Twitch selling games through streamers and discuss what it means by ethics in game advertisements and journalism.

The Nintendo Switch is now here! We hope you are enjoying your time playing with your Switch. Past us are entirely jealous of present you! Justin is dying of anticipation of the Nintendo Switch launch while Thomas and Lo are cutting their teeth on PC games. Thomas gives his incredibly early impressions of Odyssey, a new early access educational game and the crew reminisces about old educational games they played growing up.
In this episode of the Charged Shot Gamescast the crew talks about having to deal with tax season and license renewal season. Shortly after we get into the games we’ve been playing and the news in gaming. This week we discuss another surprise gaming TV show from the creators of Adventure Time and Fairly Odd Parents. We rant about the Nintendo Switch again. We get excited for the Crash Bandicoot Remasters. Finally, we rant about PewDiePie, responsibility, community, business, and ethics.
