After the lackluster performance at the box office for Terror of MechaGodzilla, Toho put the beloved radioactive monster into hibernation for a second time. Now fast forward to 1984 and Toho reawakens Godzilla and stripping away the campy cascade of the Showa era in favor to return the series to it's roots.
